Great accommodation at a low price. The appartment was clean and the staff friendly. Will stay again!
The first thing you notice when you stay is the warmth and helpfulness of the staff. The quality of the rooms / kitchen / communal areas are all very good - so good that I keep coming back!
Very clean rooms, with all kind of facilities. Good breakfast with a lot of food served (Self serice) in a large kitchen fully equipped.
very comfortable. A home away from home convenient location
no complaints - room clean and comfortable - pefectly adequate for a short stay - loved the freedom of the 'do your own breakfast' - tube only 5 minute walk away - into central london within 30 mins
I stayed here whilst in the area for a two day business trip. Quiet location. slept both nights really well, upper floor with the window open. Nice to have kitchen to be able to cater for myself and a fridge for any food I had brought.
From the outside there is no indication that this is an hotel. It looks like a private house. A sign would be useful. I walked past and was wondering if I was in the right place. Otherwise it was excellent. Very pleasant staff, nice clean room with excellent facilities. The WiFi really was free as was the satellite TV. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting a few nights in this area.
I am an Australian who stayed here for a week while I was looking for work. The room was small, but met all of my needs. For this price, why would you book a private at a backpackers when you can have all the same and more here? The all-day make-it-yourself breakfast is a great deal. There was usually no-one in the well-equipped kitchen in which they stocked it with milk, fruit, juice, pro-biotic drinks, bread, margarine, butter, mayonnaise, sausages, bacon, ham, eggs, cheese and jam. If you don't want to cook, at the end of the street there are cafes and a variety of fast food restaurants including many South Indian foods (which I love). There is also good budget shopping around and the tube station is within 10 minutes walk.
Even though I did not arrive until one in the morning the Landlord was friendly and welcoming. Good clean en-suite accommodation with a microwave cooker in the room. The smoke alarm on the ceiling and the well signed fire exit to the rear made me feel safe. There was a nice clean communal kitchen with a good range of food available for a self service breakfast.
A little further from the tube station than expected though the snow and uncleared pavements contributed. Difficult to find as the only signage outside is a "Welcome" plaque. Remember the house number is 268. Intercom was answered and an excellent staff member emerged from number 270 before taking me to number 272. The kitchen/communal room was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with all cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils imaginable. The large fridge was full of food (free for guests' use) and a separate fridge was provided for your own goods (a number of supermarkets are close by). The kitchen provided bread, cereals, juices and ham, cheese, bacon, frankfurters, eggs and spreads. My single room was on the 2nd floor (no lifts) and had a laminate wood floor which made it a little cold initially. This too was well appointed with a wall-mounted LCD TV with full SKY package including sports and movies. The heating was excellent as was the bathroom and shower.
